    Glass SS buttons?

    Good afternoon comrades,

Need your help to know whether these buttons were only used on SS clothes or not?
I am doubtful as there are no RZM backmarks...

    Greetings from France!!!

In 44 was no RZM office anymore !
Yes these buttons could have been used by the WSS .

Typical buttons for SS tropical clothing (Saharianas) in Brown color. Agreed RZM office no longer involved...
This is combat gear related. You never see RZM marked buttons on WSS field gray camp made gear...
RZM codes were much more prevalent with Algemeine SS uniforms and components...
or perhaps tailor made private purchase tunics intended for WSS officers.

Nice buckle by the way ... !
But "normally" the RZM office was supposed to be no longer existing after 43 ?
Exceptions do exist ...as always in this branch , like WH buckles with RZM stamping !

Also RZM contracted items were still in the supply chain, either loose or on finished but unissued garments ... the Germans wouldn't throw anything away.

                    Only for SS items ?
I have the similar buttons on a green/white winter jacket.
                    Thank you and ciao.

Contract suppliers would use anything they were supplied with or could lay their hands on in a mid-late wartime economy that was imploding .... does anyone really thing anyone had the time to inspect and discard valuable buttons
