    Rank Collar Tab Assist

    Hi Folks:

I picked up this collar tab and I'd like the SME comments.

Is it SS or NSKK Sturmmann ...is there a difference?

Ok thanks....I was just thinking NSKK but of course if it's even closely related to SS it's crap. Just my luck...I'll stay away from anything SS or even "kinda" SS. Oh well thinks. I learned a lesson.

                Collar Tab

It's an original SA rank tab, IMO.
The buckrum on the back is common on early SA tabs, and the proportions are correct.
SA regulation is 58mm X 40mm (but they often vary somewhat)
                SS tabs aren't as long.
Tab is either from SA-Gruppe Berlin-Brandenburg or SA-Gruppe Niederrhein. Both wore black tabs and white/black litzen. If there was a pip, you could tell which Gruppe it was from by the pip color (gold or silver).
Better pics are needed on the litzen, but since the tab is good, the litzen likely is as well.
If you want confirmation on the authenticity, post it in the "Political" section, and they'll tell you the same thing.
Tab looks to be from 1934-'38/'39? roughly.

                  Tab

I just noticed that the litzen looks silver.
BTW, I forgot to mention........it MAY also be NSKK - same dimensions as Sa, I'm pretty sure. Post in the Political section, and you'll find out. Most SA litzen is white and black. Not sure about NSKK. Either way, they'll confirm what you need to know.
I'm still sure it's authentic, though.

No, its fake, and this type of buckram is one of the indicators.
