This may be one of the 4 originals found last year from a tailor shop, along with many wonderful pieces of bullion insignia.

                I have to say I agree . . .
One would have expected to see some kind of wear and deterioration from 80 years of laying around.
                Sorry not for me

I like this one. Bright, brand-new looking insignia may not be common, but it is certainly exists.

I have seen many pieces of insignia- bullion, flatwire, RZM - that look like they were made yesterday but are pre-May 1945 production.

It is an unquestionable original example.
I have owned in the past tailor example Gen tabs is absolute pristine conditions. Such material does exist and shows real hand embroidery quality.

Bob-- or anyone for that matter- Any photos floating around of the pieces found last year at the tailor shop, or pieces found recently in such condition? I just love that beautiful bullion!

                      Regards- Frank

Here is the officer's sleeve eagle that I bought at SOS that is part of the tailor shop "hoard" I also saw the Maria Theresia collar tab that is now under discussion, or at least a similar one. Early in the show he also had sets of high-ranking General's collar tabs, at least Obergruf and maybe Oberstgruf, but I'm not certain. Those weren't in the display case for long. I was almost out of my mind at that point and paid for the eagle without even haggling over the price.

                            Regards,
                            Mike

That was my thought Bob - this looks very similar to the Maria Theresia tab that was at the SOS and which came from the Munich tailor shop.
