    Brown Piped Shoulder Boards Question

These boards are piped in a copper brown color, but I cannot decide if KZ or recon. They are more in the army cut with the wider slip on tabs.

The color, in the photo, is the same as the piping.

    I appreciate any feedback.

Hi Bob, super rare and nice straps!

Early style tress and as you said WH style straps without the black reinforcement cloth. For me that makes them early recon boards.

        recon

Clearly recon as KZ straps appear more orange than brown.

Oops, I misspoke as I thought the straps were dark green and not black. I don't know exactly what color they are.

This pair was listed on e-stand a couple of years ago as “Motorized Inf Copper Brown”. I don’t remember who the photos belonged to but I post them here for us to learn

Interesting first pattern boards. Would love to see the reverse!

I wish I could help you Hasse but I only saved photos of front to show the piping. Tyvärr!

They are early Heer/SS Armored Recon 1941-42 (Krad/Aufkl). My set can be either, but most likely KZ.

Brooksbz i agree with you, kz for sure. Interesting pair, later war construction with early tress.
