"This is an actual advert for a period badge that was never made. BUT, made postwar by Northstar/SRM. They would occasionally have things like this. There was also a CZ paratrooper pin and the SS lebensborn pin fit in to this category. They had a section of fantasy pins like this the CZ pin, Volkswagon pin,SS unit stick pins and the SS Lebensborn pin was in the section.. All very nicely made with good grade materials and nice enamel." , Thought you'd all like to see this and also to beware of this super 'rare' SS piece!..,Gaspare

I wonder IF someplace in a period 3rd reich publication IF there was a line drawing,,a description, or something pertaining to it?

Sometimes I really wonder if entire threads are read and understood before comments are posted...

In another thread I read this:
Originally posted by Gaspare View Post(...) One was pin was made from a prototype drawing from a jewelry company.. A large oval with a Viking ship. Had the saying Gegen England around the border etc etc. and big SS runes on the sails. (...) You see all 3 at the big US shows. There wren't a lot made and they show honest wear from being 25 years old or older!
Same deal with this LB pin. its just an old decent made fantasy.. (...)Attached FilesLast edited by militaria.no; 03-03-2017, 07:07 PM.

Do you understand the difference between `fantasy` and `reproduction`?
And I say this one more time: Please don’t pollute Norwegian immediate pre-war Lebensborn memories and history with this US mass-produced s***!
With just a small ability to resonate you understand this has absolutely nothing to do with e.g. pre-war Lebensborn history in Norway 1950-55 – but with this story it is like I am talking to a wall. The Fantasy Choir and bla bla b-land is not even close to an Oscar for their try! When will you realize the company USM decided to make reproductions of an original cyanide capsule, a lebensborn pin and this broche? I have tried to ask Mr. Ray Cowdery from USM to reveal his knowledge on this unfortunately without any luck so far.
Like I wrote in another thread 09.05.16:
Originally posted by militaria.no View PostThey write: “This is an exact replica of the ss cyanide vial that was issued to the SS”. With this they mean the repro is made with starting points in an original. So originals exist and this is not just a fantasy piece. (...)Attached Files

In Norway – at the University library – they have micro films with a collection of the entire `Fritt Folk` editions (a national socialistic newspaper). Maybe a German collector can locate the ad in a 1940 issue of the German magazine Illustrierte Zeitung (Leipzig). Then we will get the dateAttached Files
