The early SS skull has many of the exact same die flaws as both my St.& L. skulls.........minus the RZM and other markings.
I can't explain why the reverse is such an odd color...looks like it was subjected to a lot of heat. But the die marks don't lie....
Look at the last large photo.......Lower bone on the viewer's left.....it has a fairly long, very thin raised diagonal line that looks like a casting seam. ALL early ST.& L. skulls have that line, and they all have a round indentation in one of the top row of teeth. It's difficult to see...but directly under the center of the nasal cavity, there a diagonal groove carved out. That's on all of them too.
I am sure it is a pre-RZM version of the same skull.

Funia claims that the SS skull is fake, but when I showed him a photo of my identical St.& L. skull, he had no problem with it whatsoever.
How did THIS skull magically acquire the same die-flaws as mine? - that's impossible.
I can point out every single flaw...present on each one, but you come on the WAF forum, flapping your mouth, claiming it's fake, but offering no explanation why.

This is what a real one looks like - they were stamped not cast.

ive seen early jawless skulls yrs ago with the shiney silver finish. the details was good. i consider it a good piece.. there were many variations nothing is set in stone on these early skulls. is the under metal brass or tombac

DHunter - Neither MY skulls nor the one in question was "cast".
If they were "cast", they wouldn't have the same, but opposite features as the front. They're all very thin metal
It only looks cast because it's enlarged.
I can't explain the odd coloring on the reverse - yOU figure that out, since you're the definitive expert.
I will tell you that you don't know what you're talking about. How would some cast skull have the exact same machine marks or flaws as a known original?
Please tell us how that occurs.
I'm sick of people telling members that their items suck, and that only THEIR'S is original.

Skulls

Castle - Plating on St. & L. skulls IS shiny, like tin or nickel plating, and the base metal looks like copper. Pins on ones I've seen are brass.
They were definitely "stamped out", not cast. You can see the "release scratches" around the edges where the press was lifted up after stamping.
I admit the coloring IS ODD.....but nothing explains the die-marks away.
Look at that round dent in the upper tooth (viewer's left.) My 2 RZM-marked St.&L. skulls have the exact dent in the exact place, and that's just ONE of the repeated, noticeable flaws. One skull is mint, and the other is fairly worn, on a salty early Allgemeine SS visor cap.
