Opinions on Generals collar patches

Opinions need on these please. Thanks. I just noticed that one of the acorns is in the wrong place on one of the collar patches and the stems seem a little too long

I would say no based on the buckram, two strand piping and placement of the acorn on second tab. Application of embroidery is very good though.

More or less agree with what Charles has already stated plus the fact the one of the oak-leaves is much sharper than the rest they aren't the same . . .

I don't collect Police insignias, but for a SS Gen tab I don't accept the pointed stem. The curve style is kind of odd.

I'm not saying the opinions on SS forum are incorrect, but did you get any opinions from the police forum??? That's really where these belong. Police general tabs do not necessarily following the exact same rules as SS tabs. I too do not like long stems as seen on these tabs, but they may be perfectly fine on police tabs. I think there may be a period photo showing tabs similar to these in actual wear. Perhaps some period photos would be nice, but again, the police forum is the best venue.

JohnnyA I been collecting police insignia for years, including police generals collar patches and if they do not look or feel like SS I do not usually buy them however the embroidery on these pare threw me except for the odd placement of the acorn and the long stems, not worried about the two strand of police as these was used. The reason for the question on the SS forum. A lot of police collectors do go for odd looking generals collar patches but I do believe these are all fake. I prefer these

Just a side note, the collar tab piping has 3 strands on the originally posted tabs, not 2 as stated. Take a close look.

The verdict which we all seem to agree on is we are not particularly happy with this pair of generals tabs for the reason stated
You obviously disagree . . . So just enjoy them then
