A poor fantasy cufftitle ... I believe these were only made in BeVo machine-woven. Either way the weave is all wrong on this piece.

I know of 2 for sale right now. Collector's Guild has one for $2529 and DWG has one for $2950. Neither one of these web sites is known for bargain basement pricing, but still...

if you can find an original one in the range of 1000 GBP (= $1229), buy it before the seller realizes his mistake!

I was just curious. My wife's grandmother has one of these, and one with a skull on it amongst some other guff and photos from the war.

The skull ct is for members of ST-TV Standarte 'Oberbayern' but was also seen to be worn amongst other members of the 'Totenkopf' Division.

They are BIG money IF real ... even Grandfathers acquire fakes in the past 70-odd years.

That would be difficult ... the guy was killed in action in 1944. His sister has what she has. As lots of families do.
