    SS dagger D-ring??

What do you all think, is this a real SS hanger and what year dagger would this have been attached to?

    Thank you for your time!

It's called a belt loop which attaches to the dagger hanger. It's most likely an NSKK one, but can be used with an SS dagger hanger as they are both black in color. Early SS belt Loops are usually SS/RZM marked and are pretty rare. This one looks to be late 30's to mid 40's period.

Thanks Reichskanzler for your help! I was told that the RZM stamping wasn't used in the beginning and that the early D-rings would not have been stamped with the SS/RZM logo. I want to put this on early SS dagger with nickel fittings. Would this have been the correct belt loop used for and early dagger?

      Thank you!!

Yes absolutely, you can use this belt loop with an early SS dagger.

Upon closer inspection the rivet is dark drown but the leather is definitely black. Is the brown rivet correct?

          Thank you,

          Kevin

No it should not be brown. It should be black, unless someone took a brown sa belt loop and painted it black but left the rivet brown. I've seen this happen before.
