KZ "K" Tab for Review

I'm seeking opinions on the following KZ "K" (Camp Commandant Staff) collar tab.





Also, a couple of related questions - What is the relative scarcity of this tab type compared to the "K" tab with skull, as shown below? Was there a difference in to whom these two tab types were issued, or in production dates?

Is the market that soft, for a more common skull k tab 4k are quite cheap for a harder to find k tab.

An extremely rare collar tab. It was worn by NCOs on the staff of the commandant.

I have just seen 2 different versions so far. This one et another one (NCOs version) which was sold by "grenadier" a few months back. I am wondering if construction is always the same and if there are others versions known...

To answer your question, the "K" tab was introduced in 1936 for NCOs and men on the staff of camp commandants. By 1937 it was also the collar patch for men and NCOs on the staff of the SS-Uebungslager Dachau.
In 1939, after a complaint by Eicke, the "K' tab was again restricted just to men and NCOs on the camp commandant staff.
