SS officer belt buckle - unfinished?

    Hi all,

what do you think about this? Could this be a semi finished product for a real SS buckle? Or is it only stamping attempt from a fakers factory? I dont see any device for fixing the centerpart....
    The material is aluminium.

    Any ideas welcome.

    Best regards
    Pavel

I would say faker's attempt and trial. Very bad detail and honestly lack of it.

              Hi,

thanks for details. No other opinions?

Is there really no chance? The source was quite reliable. To produce such stamping someone must make quite expensive set of dies for front and reverse. Then I would expect some finished fake buckles on the market to get the toolings costs back. Do we know such pieces?

              Any ideas welcome.

              Best regards
              Pavel

Not even close to an original. Very sloppy, imo.
