Friend sent me a surprise

I had someone out of the blue contact me on Facebook and said they had something that I would like to display with my collection. The big item he listed for me was a piece of stationery from the desk of an important Argentinian general from the Falkland War. And he stated included something else....

Here is that "something else.." I assume this is Felix Steiner... I had no idea who he was, but after a bit of Google searching...

BTW, forgive the "dog bed" backdrop.

This is funeral clothing is relating to the Kameradschaft Korps Steiner, i.e. the veteran organization of the III Germanisches SS-Panzer-Korps which was under command of Felix Steiner. As such, it is not an object directly linked to Felix Steiner - but rather to a veteran organisation of a unit which he commanded.

Still pretty cool, right? It was free, so nothing lost. A person had to be a member of the unit to have this at their funeral?

Not really...They placed and even today places them at memorialplaces and so on.
If members pass away they send simular ones....
