Just look at that I'm surprised that was allowed to be passed ?
Especially in this day and age with all this political correctness bouncing around

      From the web:
The Latvian swastika is the Pērkoņkrusts or 'Thunder Cross' - "Fire Cross", the symbol of the god Pērkons...
and also used outside of the military...Here displayed during a National Hockey team event half time show...
(against Russia...causing a controversy of course!)

Sidetracking a little bit but the Finns also have no problem with using it either apparently... Its a part of their history! (Finnish Airforce)

It is not that the swastika tab is making a comeback. Latvia used the symbol of the Fire Cross way before the Nazis did. They used it in 19 C. they used it in the Latvian Republic in the 30;s and they are integrating it now again. It is not that Latvians are bringing back a "waffen ss" swastika, it is more like they are not afraid to use the symbol that was use in their culture for at least 200 years.

The "Swastika" is one of the oldest symbols used by the Indo-European peoples. Among the ancient Germanics, the swastika was an alternate rune representing the god Thor/Donner. Von List wrote at length on the subject in his Secrets of the Runes.
