Hi all,
I am seeking opinions on the below collar tab, currently listed for sale on the E-Stand as an Oberbayern tab, along with answers to a few general questions on this type of tab:
1. Is it certain that this tab type was produced for/worn by Standarte Oberbayern (exclusively), given the insights in the following thread, in which it was stated "the existence of a photograph of a man wearing the Brandenburg cypher and the Roman numeral "I" would seem to indicate that the Roman numerals later designated sturmbanne within each of the 3 Totenkopf regiments."
http://wehrmacht-awards.com/FORUMS/s...d.php?t=852999
2. In comparing the for-sale tab (first 3 pictures) to the other tab shown below, what is the significance of piping or lack thereof? Does it signify officer/NCO vs. enlisted distinction or something else?
Thank you!
