SS marked brown leather strap?

Hi.
Can anyone ID this strap? Rivets are SS and leather RZM marked.
First I thought it is some sort of transitional helmet strap but it measures 75 cm.
Or fake markings?

I don't recognize any Y-strap parts from there. At least not the ones I have seen.

The straps were black, but the condition of the leather with red rot caused finish to disappear.

Never seen a rivet with runes on it ?
Not a german strap and RZM stamping would be only for german made equipments at least !
