very worn tunic but still, certainly, looks good noticeably, tabs do not match the salty condition of the tunic, which is not really a big deal to most of us (collectors) as long as the tunic has at least been truly SS and not something else before May 1945. Just make sure there are no traces of a breast eagle on the chest or army style tabs on the collar. These m36 tunics were identical for Army and the SS, absolutely no difference. So it is always good if it had some provenance with it or some extra evidence showing that the tunic served in the SS, like owner's name tag, clear, dark&nappy ghost/shadow from a "old-fighter" chevron or cuff title on sleeves, etc. BTW did SS TK-TV kz guard personnel wear cuff titles like the Totenkopfverbände?

Early tunics, imo are the best, of course an expert eye could spot if m36 born as an SS tunic or become post war.

From these pics we can only admit that's a very nice tunic with a very nice tk early/mid tab!

Photographs would suggest otherwise ... obviously the 'Oberbayern' cufftitle in it's various forms would be the exception.

Michael did say in his initial post that HE added the KL piped straps and given that the TK tab may be a replacement anyway there are a very large number of possible cufftitles that it could have originally had.

                Thanks for your comments!
Why would this skull tab KZ piping combination not been possible?
A wounded TK soldier could be replaced in such?

                The pictures.
There is a shadow of a Älterkampfwinkel and another small schadow?

Great W-SS M36 tunic. It also has the 2 step liner, another plus!
