HBT is totally typical color and weave. What's unique is the front and rear vertical seam. Necessary when using oak material printed on fabric that wasn't wide enough to cut out the smock elbow to elbow.
Late war oak zeltbahns made from this material also have material added to the corners for the same reason.
Pink smocks are FAKE by the way

Its a great smock, I agree. Posters can hand wave characteristics away, but that does not change facts. Lighting can change appearance I understand, but the color of the pocket bags is different than most other German made smocks and the HBT weave is as well....no question to me. That means nothing to me as I also know different weaves of HBT existed.
Another fact is that the duck used in this smock is of a very different quality than that seen in the smocks made earlier. This weave is coarser and probably due to more substitute fibers.
I have never seen a true pink smock, but if they exist I agree that they are probably fake.
