    I have concerns about the buckram. Also, this piece is practically pristine for being at a minimum, 71 years old. The execution of the embroidery however, is flawless.

      From these photos, it looks like an excellent original. It would take a hands on examination to determine otherwise, IMO.

        Pristine and original. In a desk drawer shielded from UV etc...Such old pieces can still look factory (tailor) new....Pics attached for future study reference in case the link disappears. (credit: Wittmann.Militaria)

          Yes I agree ... UV rays are very damaging

              There were officers versions , seldom found for sale, and although pricey, a tough type to find or score.
              I agree with the positive comments, as there is lots of mint stuff out there waiting to be pounced on first hand moths didn't get to.
