    Opinion on W-SS Recruitment Poster

The poster itself, paper and print, looks and feels legit. I'm just bothered by the print at the bottom since usually these posters are found without any on the orange field. Also I have no clue how much would be worth if all original, messed with original or plain fake.
    Thank you for your help

          Controversial to say the least.

            Hi,

            100% fantasy fake.

I already made various reports here on the H'O'CH posters (originals and fakes), this is the worse of the fakes.

            - printing is bad (text is printed at the same time as the rest of the design)
            - should react to black light
            - like for the 'Brigade d'assaut - Paris', it is freely based on an original and big poster with the Nancy Dienstelle recruitment center.

The H'O'CH poster (with a free of text orange stripe) seemed to have been available in various europan (occupied) countries, but i didn't found period pictures with it 'in service'. Available but not used ? Summer 1944 poster ?
The Danish volunteer picture was also used in various recruitment centers, and on the 'Unités françaises de la Waffen-SS' 1943 propaganda booklet.

Two original and slightly bigger variants exist : one (with again a free of text orange stripe) is pictured in the Ersatzkommando Frankreich HQ with commanding officer Nikles checking (in 1943 or 1944 ?) various posters for the SS French volunteers.
The other has the same size, but is having the info for the Nancy recruitment center. This one was pictured by René Bail from an unknown collection and published in the 'La brigade Frankreich' Jean Mabire book in 1973.
Some crooks probably had the idea to create a fake-fantasy model with the Ersatzkommando Frankreich address instead of the Nancy one...

You will find all the existing type below.

            See You

              Hi,

Massimo, can you give us the size of your model ?
If you are able to check with a black light, it could be interesting too.

              See You

                    Hello Massimo,

many thanks for your report !

Here are pictures i took of the two other fakes Under black light : the 'Brigade d'assaut - Paris', and the blank H'O'CH reprint. Two original H'O'CH posters are included for the test, with a modern white paper and a modern white sheet.

I called that one 'Flandern' at that time, due to a sticked paper at the bottom, paper bearing the Ersatzkommando Flandern address.
Courtesy of the help of another collector, it was confirmed that the blank glossy reprint was made by the militaria dealer Europsurplus from Paris a few years ago.
It was sold as reprint if i'm right, not as original.

                    See You

I knew you would be all over this Vince....

A great study of the variants out there, mostly fakes....

I would only ever touch the ones without text personally.
They are not too hard to find and are the most commonly
found of all the SS posters which in turn has driven the price
                      down quite a bit.

                        Hi,

the current price of blank originals is between 200 and 300 euros.
