SS/SA cord

Could anyone please let me know what this is, i pressume it would be for the collar or shoulder straps? It is about 32" long, and about 2 millimeters thick

Collar cord for SA or early SS I assume as it is blk white and not blk silver.

Sorry it is a bad photo, it is black silver. I tried taking another photo but it just looks white. Thanks for your reply Robert
