The buttons appear to be H.J. style from the photos for one thing.

I had a SS brown shirt with the same kind of buttons on it years ago. Right or not...I don't know.

SS brownshirts can be difficult. Most are pre-RZM, so they were less standardized. There are plenty of generic political brownshirts available for the unscrupulous to convert to SS. So, the problem is to determine the authenticity of the insignia and then to use your crystal ball to determine when the insignia was applied to the shirt.

              My thoughts on this shirt:

              1. I do not like this cuff title. Having said that, I could very well be wrong and it is just a very early variation I am not familiar with.

              2. I believe the black leather knot buttons were used on SS brownshirts, as well as smooth black metal buttons.

              3. I believe the lack of collar tab piping would mean the wearer is an anwarter, not full SS.

              4. The SA style shoulder boards were used from May, 1933 to October, 1934. Black and white collar piping was worn during the same period. This is a period of 17 months when the SS was a very small organization.

I would pass unless the provenance is mighty good.

I thought that items were meant to be discussed PRIOR to posting if in doubt?

                  Frankenstein

It’s a Frankenstein put together with SA, HJ and SS items from different periods. I don’t like the black and white cord. Better pictures please.

You got that right on better photos. Band may be ok, but clear shots of front and back and black strips in better light helps.
The period of brown shirts in the ss was real short. Unless as stated provenance do and all insignia stitched , I would have serious doubts. I would also expect a tag that states ss of the nsdap inside the shirt. To me it's a put together. Just my take on it. Don't get your hopes up too much.

It took me many years to figure out pre 39 brownshirts! I need to see close up pics of piping around the collar?
