    Very unusual Waffen-SS field cap

    Hello everyone,

I would be interesting in your opinion in this very strange cap.
While it looks like a phantasy cap at first, it might maybe be a foreign manufacturing? It came of Romania as I was told.

    Thanks!

Original insignia sewn in the correct fashion, and there were variations in SS panzer and field grey M43s - plenty shown in headgear books and private photos.

In this case, the small area where the tag was removed would shift this cap into the suspect area - not common to have sweatshields or manufacturers tags sewn into M43s. Taken with the strange front button set-up and other small anomalies, I'd steer clear of this one.

These caps are so highly faked to begin with I would not accept one with such overt variations without very strong provinence.

I have a feeling I have seen this cap before, minus the insignia, although I cannot recall where.
