Comanche Code talker SS Cloth Insignia Lot (Real or Fake)

What started out as me selling a banner holster has turned into a very large potential business transaction. The grandson of the late Charles Joyce Chibitty, a Commanche Code talker who is wanting to sell me his bring backs. I tend to stay away from SS items that don't belong to a reputable dealer simply because I'm not willing to take a risk. We're supposed to meet tomorrow and am wanting opinions on what you guys think. He said his grandfather picked these up in Dachau. Something doesn't seem right and honestly think there repros, but could be wrong. He also has a SS cap and smock that my guts telling me no on, but he is a genuine seemingly honest guy that is making me want to give him a chance. Let me know guys!

    Thanks

    Hi,

"reputable seller" makes usually collectors smile.

I don't see why items that were taken by a veteran may be less credible than items from a "reputable seller"...
You need to be cautious for both.
Of course fakes existed since the first days of the war, but if the guy was able to visit Dachau in 1945, he probably took back many legit SS items.
Tonns of SS lots from Dachau were taken back and are still surfaced each month in the US. Dachau had SS warehouses, with hundred of thousand of SS items stocked there (including the famous SS Dachau insignas and patches) in mint condition.

The best thing would be to post some pictures of the stuff the guy may have, be sure that if the stuff is legit, your mailbox will explode.
I advice you to check the board (Tony Barto and e-stand tables) to see the price of each items.

    See You

    Vince
