The eagle is fine. Just not sure about the cut off .... looking on my phone though.

The eagle shown this the elongated swastika type nothing wrong with it
It's rarely encountered if my memory serves me well the swastika is the reverse of the front and is woven black on the back.
Yes that cut looks self applied

i have buy this eagle many years ago , to an old french resistant veteran with a heer buckel and others littles items,near the town MONTAUBAN !in 1944 the ss divison DAS REICH is in this town !
