This is a generic German civilian leather coat of the era 195X 'til 197X with some dorky runic embellishments. You can find these kind of coats at all kinds of Troedelmaerkte in Germany on any given weekend, and the stamps are hook for the gullible. If you have the Arndt Verlag volumes of Walter Frentz's color pictures, there are numerous images of authentic Nappaleder over coats in a military style. The color of this coat here is not so off, but its cut is. Sorry....

The response above is completley correct. One will find dozens of these style coats being pushed as WWII military use for every real military leather overcoat. If you carefully check the reverse of the belt fittings to include the leather covered buckle you will likely find DBGM markings representing the post 45 (actually post 48/49 I believe) Bundes government.
