Yes a Padova Italian production original M43 cap. Skull might be Ok...not sure about eagle...
Too skinny looking but OK cap for me .

Like I said eagle is too thin.... anorexic looking...
With those zelt buttons to me looks like its a Berven Padova Italian made cap as marked,
probably stripped and restored to SS with dodgy insignia (skull applied crooked).
It does lack the Italian HBT often seen in these...

is a good idea to remove them and replace original insignia?
I have this cap from 1995.

in the case I restore it is it better I restore it as Heer or W SS cap?

Hi mates
thanks another time for your useful informations.
Here are attached some pics of the cap compared with one of my Italian greatcoat.
We can see that the materials of two items are absolutely the same, although those of the cap are more wear. The two lining are identical in color and material. Not always the Italian lining has been made in HBT, in late production rayon was more used.
