The other looks like a Heer M42 with an added brim (this was often done to 'modernise' the M42 into an M43 or a Bergmutze) but not 1944 dated ?

To Me they are both Highly Suspect vs Norms and standards of the times and other accepted examples..JMHO Billbert

I'm not really feeling these either...might be greatcoat reworks...
Materials are OK but shape/construction appears odd..(1st one)
Never seen that RBNr font before either ...

But the first one stands the best chance...I suggest posting these in the soft cover forum,
The bergmutze shape and the RBNr markings on the other one suggest nothing SS here...

single button must be checked better, other is a classic heer cap.
as Nick said i do not see any SS cap.

Both are strange caps ...
The 1 button is a classical repro in original cloth .
The 2 buttons looks better but i don't like the markings ?
