I have absolutely no expertise on the cap itself or any SS caps for that matter, but I simply want to ad that it looks like someone lightly spray painted over some fake insignia to make a "shadow effect" to make it look like the insignia was there for years and dust collected around it.

Nothing tricky about it, this "thing" is a horrible fake.

The faker is tricky in the way he tried to deceive with the fake dust. Its another technique that I have not seen before, luckily it is obvious in this case.

This kind of aging is found on many fakes. Obviously overdone.
