    RZM Cufftitle "Westpreussen"

Today i get this RZM Cufftitle.
I know the 6 aluminiumwire cuff´s are hard discussed and not from all acepted, But it was quit cheap so i take it

But my question is, while i never see a Westpreussen cuff and can´t finde some infos about it.

    for what was it used?

Ironically the band weave looks very good.

As Ian correctly points out the black weave base it not bad at all. But it has six strands... Something to think about when it comes to the often debated topic of original six strand cuff titles. Its however easy when they are this BAD in the embroidered letters...

If you fool collectors with a Band in this quality you will ask Money for it
As i write in post one it was cheap, better say I paid less than for a "fake" in this Quality and it was not sold as a ss cuff so.........

Especially in the area of Cufftitles are lots posibil, one reason are IMO that you can by in the RZM stores empty cufftitles and you can let them stich in what exist and some are in bad qulity i am shure.

i know the crazyest cufftitles stiched or embroided in empty cuffs (althought some with no SS related stuff in teh rzm-cuff) in some collection of freinds and the get their stuff for 99% from privat for no money and this stuff is unfortunatly not for sell.

But now to my primary qustion, for what is the "Westpreussen" used for, or did somone have anny informations or idears?

I write clearly in post 1 this that i know this cufftitles with the 6 strands are doubtfull, so i do not ask about the originality.

                        Cuff Title

Not only is your cuff title fake, there is no SS unit cuff title with the designation Westpreussen at all. See Angolia's Cloth Insignia of the SS.

99% of six wire have problems.... only very few ones were accepted.
This is a scary reason to considerate always.

Just throwing it out there! It's a long shot...
                            "SS-Truppenübungsplatz Westpreußen" staff ???

                            From Wikipedia...

                            ______________________________________________

                            Approximate translation:
On the 1. June 1944 an SS and Waffen-Unterfuhrerschule SS troops (NCO) training course "West Prussia" was established in Reckow at Bütow and an exercise area was set up.
During the summer of 1944 tests with A4 (V2) rockets were held at Linde Busch. The Rocket Test Group followed SS military to this site when the Heidelager (SE Poland) training area
                            was relocated.

On 2. January 1945 the evacuation of the SS-military training area "West Prussia" took place due to the proximity of the Red Army. At that time training course school personnel
not ready for operations were evacuated to Denmark.
                            ________________________________________________
So the W-SS "WestPreussen" training facility operated between June 1944 and January 1945...only approximately 6-7 months..Who knows? (private purchase unauthorized band?)
I know Dachau Truppen Ubungsplatz staff members had their own cuff titles but this is definitely a long shot!...late war and short period of time...Who knows?

Nick, but it's still a fantasy piece.
