Cmon Dave, My credibility was called into question simply because I couldnt tell a piece was fake from looking at the front side.This piece to me looks brand new out of the factory.It even "glitters". But that is just how it looks,I dont care for the 3.But thats not saying its fake.Now if I recall there are a few who can tell just by looking at this picture if its real or not.

I had a Knights cross for sale and a guy sent a photo of a tunic, not the best but he said it was all he could get when he borrowed a camera, so I could not get any close ups,

I am not an expert ,but this looked pretty good, He said it came from a vet in his church, he was a preacher, and his mail address was care of a church, well when I got the tunic, I had some concerns, he said he had sent the cross off to be checked out, and he would get it back and we would reverse the deal. Well, that was Nov 2003, I own this now, and am out the case IC1, cost me 2 silver dollars in 1977, but still,
I have not seen a lot of numbered runics and to me this one looked pretty good, damn it still does, the tunic was an East German job, with this insignia
anyway, so far the best fake I have seen, and got stuck with...if you do not count the luft badges Roger Honts ripped me off with,

Dave cant really tell you about the tab, but the eagle is not a good one and neither is the cuffband. The tab is the style many early fakes copied.Comment

Yes I know, but from a distance on a tunic, they were pretty convincing, The tab has a minor reaction to UV as well as the eagle.
