    Patch I.D.

This patch came with some other German insignia, some of it was good SS. I have no clue as to age or unit. I thought I would take a stab here first to see if anyone can ID it.

    Thanks,
    Kevin

        The Berlin bear was upright...(standing)
This is a Swiss coat of arms for the City of Bern...

It is not uncommon to find such things...My father in law served in Berlin as a Prison Guard at Spandau in 1946-1947, (Eisenhower Command Berlin)
guarding Nazi bigwigs...Hess etc... and would spend R & R time in places like Austria and Switzerland where they would pick up such souvenir patches,
which get mixed in with German militaria. His duffle bag loaded with souvenirs never made in back to NJ...got stolen...daggers and all...
He was later sent to Korea with the 2nd ID when things got hot...
