    On Oakleaf Militaria website---Comments??

    1510SO8 - Rare and early Schutzstaffel watch fob. This nickel silver medallion fob features a Hussar style toenkopf indicating early manufacture. The medallion is suspended on a black moire silk ribbon that has a silver bar with SS runics. The two-sided medallion displays the SS motto "Meine Ehre Heisst Treue" and totenkopf on each side. $750.

    I'm not going to say another word...

      I found around 20 years ago the bottom part only in Germany, Jim A. got one from a vet in the US.
      Those are the only known one for me.
      For copy the number is quite low, for me original.

        Other than the price, I find no problems. This is early TR kitsch and not something official.

                In matter of time frame I rate mid 1934/35 early.

                      Thanks Robert and Rk for those replies. I hear "early SS" used on the forum from time to time and have come to the conclusion that others have a different idea of "early SS". For me it is the time frame 33 and earlier. Thanks again for the replies guys.

                            Good luck with Oakleaf half the stuff on their site they do not have, I asked about a nice dress bayonet over a year ago and it had been on their site for sometime
                            She said it had been sold and the webmaster had not taken it down,
                            A year later it is still up for sale. I know a lot of people who have gone thru this
                            experience. This was not the only item I inquired about also and same story.
