        Be happy you have a matching pair.
        A pair is way harder to find then a single one.
        And a single one is also no easy to find.

          Very nice! I had a set 30 years ago or so. If I remember correctly, they were aluminum. Yours are cupal. I had no idea that they were extremely rare, so I didn't hang on to them very long. I probably let them go for a song!

                          Hi Sergio thanks it's a shame it's not a pair. It was listed a as panzer or artillery,but it does have more of a feldgendarmerie look to it.

                              Amazing! I never even knew these mini versions existed...

                              Question: Lacking such a set or the bigger metal cyphers, could an NCO have used embroidered enlisted slip-ons too ?
                              (expedient field use measure or field promotion and wear what was available?)

                                rather than embroidered NCO would have had no cyphers at all then IMO (based on what I have observed in period pictures)
