Waffen SS Officer's Schirmmütze ?

Today, I was at a auction house's public viewing, came across this SS officers schirmmütze, took the following pictures, don't know much about these, apart that many are often faked. What do members think ? has it a chance ? Any information welcome

Thanks for the posts. This evening I attended our monthly military collectors club. The common wisdom amongst the collectors to a man without exception, was that the SS Schirmmütze was indeed a fake. Again thanks for the help

The SS Schirmmütze sold for €550 with auctioneer's commission added, the buyer's total price was €676.
