Badge Finnish Volunteer Battalion

Dear all
got this today. Could it be an original arm badge for Finnish Volunteer Battalion
stitched on an armband ??

Its the other way around. The shields were removed from these Finnish armband and added to German tunics.
(intended for parades, ceremonial wear I believe)

These shields were made pre war by several different producers, and from the beginning they had nothing to do with the Waffen-SS. However as the Finish Volunteer Battalion was set up, 1941, they used this type of shield. The black and white, German produced, shield was handed out to the Battailon, as it returned from the front, 1943.

The shield looks newly made to me.

Not impossible. Could be a film prop, but original unissued shields can look brand new, too. Can be hard to tell from just a photo.
