      The skull is fake but ground-dug items can often have that finish too especially after acid treatment. Couple original examples below

        Yes, that's what I was thinking. I've seen the same look on cylinder heads that have been acid cleaned.

              SS colector pointed metal flaws as one from the reason to recognice as fake
              And this is correct ! !
              Ground dug if is orginal never have metal flaws
              Chemical procesing is different thing.
              Metal flaws also never will apears in ground .
              They are produced by bad people

                again it is a zinc skull you are showing but the skull that started this thread is not zinc. Assman made these skulls from: 1.zinc, 2. cupal, and 3. aluminium. The base metal visible on the bone is red (copper) so this means the skull in question is made from cupal. Original CupAl skulls by Assman are very rare and the only picture of original example that I found (below) has bare copper on the reverse

                      Admitted , it is a sorry wreck of a skull - but it is original Cupal . I think 2 or 3 others are known also , worldwide that is ..
