    Well J dont agree,

A lot of vets kept their stuff if they could. J have pics of danish vets in POW camps in the end of 1945 beginning og 1946 still with danish shields and shoulderboards but with remowed collar tabs.

There is no doubt in my mind that the Dachau insignia is real, not all of it though was made at Dachau, Dachau was a storage depot and like other material they were shipped in, this subject has been done to death, There is no evidence what so ever that the Dachau insignia are fake end of story.

below are some pictures of a horde that Bob Hritz obtained from one US vet, this is just one of many hordes that have turned up over the years

      cheers,
      gary

I hope Gary's pictures put an end to this argument.

Awesome pictures! I already saw pictures of storage-depots in Russia and Germany, those were cool too.

                      Regards,
                      Junior.

I remember when Bob got this lot...the prices were all very reasonable then..for example he was selling thread tied bundles of ten rzm eagles for 500 dollars a bundle...now the eagles go for 150/175 each..as I recall all of the bands were in the 300 to 500 each range.

I remember when Bob picked that group of insignia up. There are still groupings like that in the woodwork waitning to be found. I know of a lot much larger than the one Bob nabbed. I have been after it for years. The fellow is well in to his eighties, his kids have no interest and yet, he can not part with his memories. If the vets have kept their stuff this long, they will likely die with it and thier heirs will deal with what to do with it. Likely, it will be the same scenario for me!
