    Question,SS spotty tunic used by Police

    Hi everyone, I have been told that some spotty tunics were made for Police units,,can anyone tell me why this was done if true,and has any one got any photos of these tunics. Thanks for any information.

    They were made, try a search on this forum. If I remember correctly thy have an extra button on the front and provision for shoulder straps.

          + pleated breast pockets; the "dot" print is different too; and I believe the material itself more often then not as well

            Police camo tunics have upper pleated pockets and lower plain, patch pockets, just like police service tunics.

                Strange though, the Germans used two versions of dot tunics. One for the Waffen-SS and the other for the police units. Could be much easier to keep the same versions/ patterns. I wonder why?

                  I have seen dealers ask a lot more for the Police version than the SS. It is a much rarer item but I would still prefer to have the SS.

                    Another manifestation of the German tendency towards over engineering I presume.
