Interesting to see Heer GJ troops with SS smocks!
Such mixes can get pretty confusing...

Extremely common for the WHGJ units under the 20th Mountain Army in Finland to have SS smocks. Numerous photos of them with SS camouflage. I interviewed a vet from the 7th Gjd who spoke of how happy they were to have camo that "didnt look like stupid little ships" (referring to splinter).

Worth noting, and on the original topic, it is also VERY common to see the 6th SS using splinter zelts. The 6th SS also fell under the 20th mountain, so it makes sense, supply-chain speaking.

yeah you are right it is Italian for sure...My bad! Definitely no sharp edges....
I wonder if its even a long overcoat because wearing an EK1 on such a garment would be strange!!
So double breasted short jacket in Italian camo! Perhaps a Gebirgsjaeger wind jacke in Italian camo!

Note sure what this is...
Its cut to resemble a LW Field Division jacket (note buttons)
but it appears to have zippers in the chest area ???
and the camo might not even be splinter...(Italian? Hungarian?)
Either way it's definitely a neat image of an unusual camo garment in W-SS use!
