I was thinking the same thing...It's so amateurishly done that it does not "pretend" to be the real thing... (like a pretend "flat wire pattern")
In other words home made by a soldier or his wife/mother who modified a blank (SD or A-SS) cuff band. Stuff like that was done...who knows...hard seller either way.
Nord operated outside of civilization... Arctic Circle and remote areas in Finland...Converted SD? Maybe too far-fetched to fathom?...but source?
US bring back from western France region did turn up Nord related material of course...Is the band material up to snuff? Just throwing it out there!

To me the jumbled weave is a give-away of a fake band anyway.

I see what you are saying... the black pattern rectangular shapes in the band material is not aligned neatly! Something to pay attention to!
Bad band + real bad weave leaves no hope for a home made job...oh well....
