    Privete tailored tunic

Hi guys, it is a very long time I have this set at home: a greatcoat + a tunic.

I already posted both them here:
    http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=683463

There is a story behind these pieces, but I think is not relevant because IMO the pieces should speak be themselves.
    So now my question is:

Is it possible this set belonged to a SS man?
I take again the tunic in my hands in these days, because I want to restore it as it was during the war, and, as years ago, I'm still not able to find traces of breast eagle or Heer officer collar tabs.
The only traces are for SS insigna (I removed the SS insigna when I bought the tunic because they were replaced but not original).

Here some close ups of the breast where the Heer eagle should be.

Both are very easy to link to ss. I have a coat very similar in cut different materials with an heer eagle on sleeve... Typical of ss vt. Tunic remind me to Austrian taste so Deutschland possible link. I love so much this set

Looks like the tunic is made of pre WWII dutch army cloth. No tailorlabel inside?
        I like it!

Very nice looking tunic and yes it would make a good SS Tunic.

Very similar to my Dutch tailored SS officer named tunic, which I recently traded/sold. I looked at the link and many similarities lining, dagger hanger stitching and components , the cut including the whip chord material . Mine had a different color collar as he was fachfuhrer/ Official .
Mine was named and double labeled in The Hague Sept 1941

I really regret selling this one but at least it got to return home after 70 years.

They used a lot of it! I have a complete FG uniform made in this material!
Here a close up! Schirmmutze + tunic + riding breeches, all from the same FG-NCO tailored in Holland
