SS-Wachtruppe "Sachsen" at the Sachsenburg camp wore a Sleeveband with the title Sachsen.

If I take a look to book SS insigna of Angolia the style is different (page 204)

But I do not think this is Crap. If it is Crap than it is nice crap!

            Let's wait for the experts.

            Best regards,

            rene

Its probably my old eyes but I count 6 strands on the band edges. Much debate on this but it is a warning bell. some early Austrian repros are getting on to 40 years old and the trade mark was good quality but 6 strands. Maybe the owner will count the strands.

                regards

                Mark

I would echo Mark's comment on the 6 strands. Also the width of each border "segment" seems a bit too long (see pic). Also no serifs on the small "s".

Also, were cloth tags on cuffbands ever sewn on all sides like that? I have only seen them with one end sewn into the cuffband end.

                  A bad one, I think.

                  Regards,

                  Fred

Thanks for the input gentlemen. Yes I count six strands across, so it could be a repo as Mark and Fred indicate. At least that clears that up!

                        characteristics

Hello Robert, how do you see that the lable isn't ok? What are the characteristics of a good vs. a bad one?

The stiching process is for what I look, compare it to labels who are posted already on the forum and check out some good qualitiy collector books.
