        Laise

Sure, the stroke is an "S". It is a rare German name from the Northeast of Germany.

          Congratulations on your purchase.
I believe Craig Gottlieb has authored a book
          "The SS Totenkopf Ring"
          Maybe of some help!

That's unlikely, it's a book published purely to serve his own purpose.

                Hello Leib1!

Wow how did you find this out!? Thank you!

I do have others saying the letter character in the last name is an "S". My wife did contact Craig Gottleib, but she was not able to get a name from him.

                  It's a "S", look in the Dienstalterlisten.

In 1935 DAL the only LAISE with the TK ring is Richard.
Here's a picture from the DAL.
                    BTW: a very nice ring.

                        Hello Sir!

Thank you for the information! Thank you for the comment about the ring also!

Is there anymore information about this SS Officer that can be researched? The family said it was taken off an "Waffen SS Commander" by the US Vet. Is there somewhere that information could be found out if he served in the Waffen SS and survived the war? Many Vielen danks!!!

                          S

Leib1, here is a good example of this stroke "S" on a Sachsen cuff band. Highly desirable band by the way.

                              That's a lot easier to see Dr.S
He is not on the J.P.Moore Führer List
