Several of the die characteristics on the 3-pronged skulls are quite different from these. This Assmann skull is not a 3-pronger. As mentioned, this one is certainly original.

I'm fairly confident a quick look under the sweatband would show this to be a standard three-prong skull, of the type now known to be original.

Again - could you or the owner look behind the sweatband for the prong configuration? A picture of the skull without flash in natural sunlight would probably help as well.
