A Scandinavian site. But I'm sure the return will work out.

                  Cuff title

                  Hi,

Im the seller of this Cufftitle. It would be interesting (Tom) to hear your version and why you say it`s fake. One thing is 100% sure, i will not be involved in anything related to fake. This cufftitle comes from a collection after a dead front figheter. I have seen the other items in the collection, and they are 100% period item. Before selling this, i had expert opinion from 2 different collectors regarding this. Test with UV light and other test were done and the feedback was original. The reason why asking colleagues is because cufftitle is not my main collecting area.

But looking forward to your reply.

                    Wiking cufftitle.

If its the cufftitle that Darre2 or Peter asking about, there is only one thing to say. Fake! No matter what Anders Skötte story you tell. Its a well known fake that you got when you bought a book 30 years ago. Bookmark was what it was ment to be used for but sadly some collectors think its wartime. Its not even nicly done this "ugly" fake.

This cuff-title comes from a collection after a dead front fighter.

Just because it comes from the fighter as you put it doesn't mean it's original
Secondly €750 for a fake ... That's day-light robbery at least Dick Turpin had a gun
An original Wiking cuff-title would cost a couple of thousand pounds at least
                      Regards

                        Cufftitle.

                        Hi Ljungberg(Fredrik),

I have compared it with the cufftitle used as bookmark. This fake is well known for me. That cufftitle (together with the book) and the one sold are not the same. That i can say. Test with UV light showed this easily. But i will let some other test it as well. If it`s fake, i have no trouble accepting this.

                        Thank you for feedback!

                          Cufftitle

                          Hi David,

That is correct David, it doesent need to be original just because it was in a lot with other frontfighter items, sometimes it does give a indication. But when i bought this, i brought it to other collectors wich had a look, tested it, compared it (also with the bookmark) and gave thums up.

But i fully respect that you and others says something else. One ting is sure, i will never sell something wich is fake. This has never been a issue before. And i can also assure you, that after new tests, wich could confirm this, i will of course not ask for any money.

For your information and the Norwegian market. The last two Wiking cufftitle that were sold, the went for 9000 NOK and 11000 NOK. Far away from a couple of thousand pound.

                              Hi Charles,

Thank you for links. I had a short check with one of the links. My cufftitle looks different, but maybe because of the picture/lightning. I will have a better check tomorrow. Thank you once again!
