Can You Tolerate Yet Another Tropical Sleeve Eagle?

Could I get some opinion's on this before I list it on the E-stand?

I did forum searches, and the threads I found actually confused me more than helped me. I see some similarities with my eagle and authentic examples, but I see some similarities with my example and repros too. I could not find any examples that matched mine 100%.

    What do you guys think?

I tell you, I have one very close to that (if not the same thing), that when I join the Assoc I'm going to post as well, so I'll be curious as too what the reaction is. I got mine over 15 years ago, but is in my "not sure" pile.

      Hello Andy,

This is a nice original tropical bird IMO.

Thanks for the comments guys, glad to hear 'em! I've had this for about 17 years, but thought I'd better post it -- it came from a local dealer who sometimes has trouble weeding out the fakes.

That wouldn't happen to be a heavy set older guy with fuzzy hair? I saw him and his booth at the gun show in St Paul a few weeks back.

He offered me cash & militaria from his table in trade for my 1860 Colt pistol w/holster; I didn't take the offer - a lot of the stuff he was selling didn't look "right". Nice enough guy, though.

            Just wondering,
            John

I doubt it; it doesn't really sound like my guy. I can't really picture him buying an 1860 Colt... Besides, this dealer is too busy with eBay to attend a gun show!
