Several years ago I bought a box full of similiar cuff titles from an American officer who was stationed in Germany in the 60s and had bought them while there very inexpensively. I ended up pedaling them as "German Book Marks" to get rid of them.

Owf... it hurts to see an entire set of fakes, not an original in sight.
You're right with some of the old collections... Littered with fakes due to ignorance and a general lack of knowledge. Those must have been some trying times building a collection without the help of a collectors community... Thank God for the WAF!
