So, what's the 'tell' on these things? Couldn't see any obvious casting voids (which is about the extent of my skill with this kind of insignia) so what should be looked for on the mfg of TKs?

One prong is broken off and you can see the base metal of it and it is white while it should be yellowish. Hope it helps a bit

There are plenty of casting defects to be found. Just look at the "RZM".

Yep! That's exactly what I saw when I looked at it. The details on the back are quite poor.
