No sorry, you misunderstood; I was referring to size of the bridles on your jacket!

Of course the boards are LW.

My LW tropical shirt, tie and the FD shoulder boards arrived today. Here they are mated with the M44. I will get some images of the uberfallhosen later, after I acquire a suitable display prop.

I will upgrade the cap to a tropical LW one also and am still looking for a set of nice GJ shoes to go with the set up. I will add to this a tropical web belt and either a blue or LW green/tan buckle. That should set it off nicely!

Very nice display you got there! And I can clearly see you have some more cool mannequins!

Thanks Fred, yest as soon as I get this one nearly complete I'll open a thread with the few FD items I have assembled over the past year. I need ot order a mannequin for this one to display it properly. I think it will look presentable at full length.

The tunic posted in post #14 for example, is identical to several I have seen worn in period photos by Polizei troops in the Balkan.

I am just going over some old IT camo uniform posts and noticed this:

It looks like these two men are wearing the exact same jacket. I think the traded it out to shoot the pictures each choosing a different background to pose in front of in the studio. pants are different though. Look at the swirl pattern on the left breast where it intersects the pocket EXCAT. same ribbon, same flak badge, same buttons, same camo pattern. Also notice the wrinkles where the sleeves were sen to the jacket. There is also the same ink spot from a leaking pen on the right breast pocket. Either it was a talented tailor to sew two IDENTICAL jackets, or these men used one jacket and took different poses.

Well spotted 17th! Indeed I believe you are correct.

Although obviously the trousers are different and also the caps appear to be slightly different in camo pattern...

I did not even look there!! I wonder if it belonged to the photo studio, or one of the LW men. We should start scouring similar images and see what turns up.
