This is an item for the 4th reich guys out there.........
As to the side panels on the band, he confirmed there was a great deal of wear on the silver panels. Somebody wore this ring.
As to the side panels. Most fake 4th Reich rings are over marked on the side panels. To better convince the buyer he has the real thing. For a fake SS ring, I would have expected to see one or more of the following, a swastika; SS runes; a SS skull, or even a LAH monogram. None are present.
What the "faker" used for side panels, are flowers and vines! Hardly militaristic.
You guys can call me a sucker, but you are the suckers, because if you have not seen an item, and it does not fit within the box, it is instantly assumed to be a reproduction.
Ever since I bought an original 1934 Prussian Gemeinde Warrant Disk in nuesilber for a Kommisar from Manion's for $248, worth 10k, that had been said to be a "reproduction," I've learned to think for myself.
When this LAH ring starts to appear in multiple numbers at shows, or the membership can post their own pictures of this LAH ring, I will believe it is a reproduction. Until then, the direct evidence points to it being made during the 3rd Reich, not the 4th.
How many fakes are going to be hand engraved?Last edited by Gary Symonds; 05-13-2015, 06:35 PM.

I have to agree with the guys regarding the ring. We all have been there in our collecting journeys...
You would be surprised about the number of silver objects that have been engraved over the years. Especially so-called 'SS items.' It's a minefield...
The engraving on the silver fakes is usually some kind of written dedication or something similar.
Never seen a hand engraved picture on a silver fake, let alone on a ring.
If some member can please post a picture of a fake engraved silver ring, I would be most appreciative.
I am merely seeking the truth based on evidence, not conjecture.
Thanks.Last edited by Gary Symonds; 05-15-2015, 12:28 AM.
